Beginner Aerial Silks [Levels 1 - 2]

Beginner Aerial Silks is designed for anyone who is curious about aerial circus arts and wish to learn tricks, beautiful poses, and sequencing on silks. During class, students will work on learning basic climbs, foot locks, and basic tricks. They will build upper body strength, muscle memory, and flexibility through drills and repetition. Once the student feels comfortable, movements will find fluidity and grace, while building stamina.

Intermediate Aerial Silks [Levels 3 - 4]

Students will work on a variety of belay entrances, preparation for and execution of Single and Double star drops, drills same side and opposite side climbs as well as slack drops and forward dive drops. Students will learn to understand how each trick works: getting into, walking it down, getting out of it, and how to get unstuck, just in case.

Advanced Aerial Silks [Levels 4 - 5]

Students will work on same side (ss) and opposite side (os) climbs, ss and os wraps, as well as a variety of belay entrances. Wind mill preparation and star drops, as well as slack drops and forward dive drops. Students will learn to understand how each trick works (getting into, walking it down, getting out of it, and how to get out if stuck, just in case).

Beginner Lyra [Level 1]

This class is for students that are curious about aerial circus arts, and wish to learn tricks, beautiful poses, and sequencing on lyra (aerial hoop). During class, students will work on learning basic movements such as: pull overs, straddle back inversions, and basic tricks inside the hoop. Students will build upper body strength, muscle memory, and flexibility through drills and repetition. Once the student feels comfortable, movements will find fluidity and grace, while building stamina.

Intermediate Lyra [Levels 2 - 3]

Students will learn a variety of more strength intensive moves and balances with poses using less points of contact on bottom, center, and top of the lyra. A greater emphasis of sequencing and developing transitions between skill phases will be explored. Back balances, elbow hangs, single knee hang, killer splits, spinning and other intermediate level tricks and transitions will be drilled to develop endurance and polish technique.

Advanced Lyra [Level 4]

*In order to enroll in Advanced Lyra Class, students must have successfully completed "Intermediate Lyra".

 

Ankle drops, toe hangs, elbow rolls and trio routines are just the beginning. During Advanced Lyra, students will learn more daring combinations and bring up their skill sets and endurance to a higher level.

 

 

Aerial Hammock [Levels 1 and 2]

Aerial Hammock, also called Sling or Swing, is one piece of fabric with the two tails connected to the ceiling at the same point to create a trapeze-like apparatus.

 

This is an ALL LEVEL Class, students will learn variations of each trick depending on the level they are in. Beautiful combinations and transitions below the loop, inside the loop and on top of the loop will be learned.

 

Trapeze Level 1 and 2

Static Trapeze is the original Aerial Circus Arts Form. TRAPEZE I will develop fundamental skills that can be applied to all apparatuses. Mounting the bar, moving in the air, standing up gracefully, pulling over, and basic tricks.

Trapeze Level 3

During TRAPEZE Level 3, students will develop core strength, muscle memory, gracefulness and flow while increasing the difficulty in tricks by adding spinning, flipping, beating and dancing through the air. Fun combinations, graceful transitions and awesome routines up in the air.

Rope Level 1

Rope I
In this course we will be exploring the fundamentals of rope and Spanish web. We will learn different ways to climb the rope, wraps both from the ground and in the air, how to "set" the web (adding tension to the web for another person) to support each other in the air while climbing, "how to spin" another person that is doing tricks, and how to use the hand loop.

Rope Level 2 - 3

Rope II and III
*Must have previously attended Rope I or be an intermediate level in silks
Students will work on toe climbs, front and back balances, transitions, tricks and drops.

ALL AERIALS 1 -2 [Introduction to Aerial Arts]

All Aerials 1 - 2

Beginner Friendly

This class is designed for anyone who is curious about Aerial Circus Arts and wants to learn. Students will have the opportunity to try different aerial apparatuses, such as aerial silks, aerial hoop (Lyra), hammock, trapeze, and rope. During class, students will work on building upper body strength, muscle memory, and flexibility through drills and repetition. Once the student feels comfortable, movements will find fluidity and grace, while building stamina.

ALL AERIALS 3 - 4

Students will learn a diversity of intermediate wraps, sequencing and smooth transitions in a variety of aerial apparatuses; tricks can be transferable between apparatuses. A strong emphasis is placed on inversions since wraps/tricks will be done from inversions. Intermediate drops, entrances and exits will be drilled to safely be executed. Movements are geared towards aerial dance and will build fluidity, grace, and stamina.

TEEN VERTICAL AERIAL [Levels 1 and 2]

AGES: 11 to 16
Mixed Level class, no previous experience is required. Students will learn beautiful tricks and transitions according to their skill set. Will develop body awareness, upper body strength, and endurance. Silks, Hammock and Rope.

HORIZONTAL AERIAL [Levels 1 and 2]

AGES: 11+
Mixed Level class, no previous experience is required. Students will learn beautiful tricks and transitions according to their skill set. Will develop body awareness, upper body strength, and endurance. Lyra, Trapeze and Cube

Kids Circus Arts 1

Ages: 8- 16

Kids Circus Arts I is a program that mainly focuses on providing the students with the foundation of the Aerial Circus Arts Skills. It is aimed at all those girls and boys who have developed an interest in Circus Arts and are willing to explore what it's all about. Students have the opportunity to work with aerial silks, aerial hammock, trapeze, rope,  lyra hoop, acro and tumbling. 

The BEST PART?

Students are in a safe environment free of competition, where positive encouragement flows between each other. They have the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and build up flexibility and strength. 

What to expect from KIDS Circus Arts 1?

* Warm Up/Stretching

* Ground Work of the day: Adagio, Acro-Balancing, Juggling, Contortion, or Tumbling

* Aerial Apparatus of the day: Aerial silks, Aerial hoop, Aerial hammock, Aerial Cube, Static Trapeze, Triple Trapeze, or Spanish Web.

* Building a routine

* Conditioning

* Cool Down

What to Bring?

Leotard/tights or yoga pants that cover legs completely are recommended to prevent silk "burns".

Kids Circus Arts 2

Ages: 8- 16

In Kids Circus Arts II, students take their aerial skills to the next level. Drills, tricks, and combinations require strength and endurance. Aerial routines in diverse apparatus are drilled with control, straight legs, and pointed toes. Spinning and drops become part of their routines.

 

Students work on improving their skills in aerial silks, aerial hammock, trapeze, rope,  lyra hoop, acro and tumbling.
