We’re thrilled to unveil the theme for this year’s Straz show:


GREEK MYTHOLOGY

 

Get ready to soar with the gods, battle like heroes, and embody legendary creatures as we bring ancient tales to life through aerial arts!

This year will be the first time our youth students will perform with us on the Straz stage, and we could not be more excited to have our kiddos join us.

This year, Jessica King will be directing the youth show, and Ariane Iagulli will be directing the adult show.

Whether it’s your first time on the Straz stage or you’re a seasoned show dragon, we can’t wait to create something magical together. We want you to have all the information ahead of time so you can plan, prepare. Get out your calendars!

 

Important Dates:

  1. Early access show course sign ups begin the week of July 7th. If you currently have a membership, you will be given early access to enroll in show courses. 

  2. Sign ups for non membership holders will open up the week July 14th.

  3. Show courses begin the week of August 25th and will be 12 weeks long.

  4. All required rehearsal dates are listed below, under student participation requirements. 

 

Student Participation Requirements

Want to be a part of the show? Please read through the requirements below to ensure you will be able to meet them all:

  1. Must have taken at least 8 classes at the level on the apparatus, (and ideally with the instructor who will be choreographing, but this is not necessarily a requirement), of the routine that you would like to be a part of. With 4 of the classes having been taken within the three months leading up to the beginning of the course rehearsal. Course rehearsals begin the last week of August, 2025. 

  2. You can only miss two class rehearsals during your 12 week course. You will be removed upon your third absence, no exceptions made. Please inform your instructor if you will be missing a rehearsal. 

  3. You can be in two aerial routines and one ground routine.

  4. You must arrive to each course rehearsal on time. Arriving 15 minutes late will be considered an absence. 

  5. You must attend our Performers Zoom meeting, there will be one for adults and one for youth students. We will be going over all requirements and answering all of your questions. The youth meeting will be held on Sunday August 17th at 3:00pm, and the adult show meeting will be held at 4:00pm. A link to the meeting will be emailed out to all students. 

  6. You must be present at all mandatory tech and dress rehearsals. You must arrive at the designated time and stay for the entirety of the rehearsal times. Tech/Dress Rehearsal dates are listed below:

    1. 11/2/25 Full Show Rehearsal ("the stumble through")- youth show 10:00am-2:00pm, adult show 3:00pm-7:00pm 

    2. Saturday 11/8/25 Youth Dress Rehearsal (at Aerial Dragons Studios), call time 4:00pm, you must stay for the entire rehearsal. 

    3. Sunday 11/9/25 Adult Dress Rehearsal (at Aerial Dragons Studios), call time 4:00pm, you must stay for the entire rehearsal. 

    4. Monday 11/17/25 Adult Tech Rehearsal (at the Straz) call time is 5:00pm. You can leave after your routine has been run. 

    5. Tuesday 11/18/25 Youth Tech Rehearsal (at the Straz) call time is 5:00pm. You can leave after your routine has been run.

    6. Wednesday 11/19/25 Adult Dress Rehearsal (at the Straz) call time is 5:00pm. You must stay for the entire rehearsal.

    7. Thursday 11/19/25 Youth Dress Rehearsal (at the Straz) call time is 5:00pm. You must stay for the entire rehearsal.

  7. You must be present on show days, at the call times listed below:

    • ADULTS Friday 11/21/25 call time: 4:00pm *Please note that if you typically work until 5:00pm, you will need to either take off work or leave early that day. Show time is 7:00pm.

    • ADULTS Saturday 11/22/25 call time: 4:00pm. Show time is 7:00pm.

    • YOUTH Saturday 11/22/25 call time: 10:30am (except Hatchling/Tiny Dragons, call time for them is 11:00am). Show time is 1:00pm

  8. You must attend one "Work Call", where we will be building props, set pieces, rhinestoning costumes, etc. The first work call will be held on Saturday 11/8/25 from 1-3:00pm, and the second one will be held on Sunday 11/9/25 from 1-3:00pm.

  9. You will be permitted to place your membership on hold for the duration of the show course, if you would like to. All accounts who have requested to be placed on hold will be frozen from August 25th-November 24th, 2025.

  10. You must maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout the duration of the rehearsals and the show. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day, but we must do our best to uplift each other.
